Sabat Omer is a 24 year old dancer and choreographer in the DMV area. Sabat began technical dance training at Donnas Dance a Studio in the fall of 1999, where she primarily focused on Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
After becoming a company member, she expanded her genres of dance to contemporary, lyrical, modern, liturgical and hip hop, which lead her to numerous achievement awards through the years. At 17, Sabat began working at Donnas Dance Studio, teaching and demonstrating the fundamentals of dance for children of all ages.
It was the summer of 2014 that inspired Sabat to take dance chorography to another level after her Jazz number to “Uptown Funk” won first place at a Star Power Competition in Baltimore, MD!
Motivated by sports and fitness, Sabat became certified in Zumba Fitness to help spread health and exercise awareness starting with gym members, woman’s shelters, summer camps and REC centers. Sabat extended her dance expertise and utilized her Hispanic roots from Zumba fitness to Quinceanera choreography and is now working to grow her dance business.
She created Zeal Dance and Fitness to express, teach and reinforce the importance of health and fitness through the art of dance.
Sabat currently resides in Waldorf, MD where she holds community dance and Zumba secessions. In addition, she works in Fairfax county teaching technical dance. She has her devoted mother to thank for her love of dance and entrepreneurial spirit.
